It’s official, Joe Biden will be announcing his running mate next week! What do we know so far? Well, first, Mr. Biden is committed to picking someone who has been “tested on the national stage.” That phrase is largely Washington, D.C. euphemism for “a former presidential candidate.” But I am convinced that the presumptive Democratic nominee might also have been referring to someone who has held either statewide or federal office, or served in Congress. We also know that Mr. Biden is under immense pressure to choose an African American woman.
